Subject: 99 dodge dakota 16" rims IP: Logged
Message: I currently have 15" rims on my Dakota, and I have
16" winter tires that i will be needing very
shortly. My question is, can I buy 16" rims and
use those? I know I need to find rims with a
6x114.3 bolt patter. I need to know whether there
will be enough room in the wheel well for the
bigger tires. Will the tires rub on any steering
components etc.

Message: 2001 and newer dakotas are 16 inchers. It depends
on the size of the tire, whats on the sidewall of
the tire? (225/70R16 etc?)whats the overall height
of the tires you want to put on? if you get any
taller than about 30inches tall your speedo will be
off.

Message: Actually, I think they went with 16 inchers starting in 2003. My '02 still has 15s. I heard Dodge changed the brake caliper or something in '03.
