Message: That's the message I get from my 2002 Dakota Quad Cab when I push on the gas. Alas, I realize that I thirst for more power or response to the gas pedal.
Whenever I drive my dad's Honda Odyssey, I envy him. Why? Because his Honda has a better response than mine. Hence, a "hard" gas pedal.
I hear that purchasing a factory stock V8 throttle body is an easy solution. So a couple of questions:
1. Which throttle body is best for my V6? Which is worst? And how much are they?
2. Will it affect the overdrive on my truck? Pros and Cons, if any?
3. What's the comparison of the response between before and after with throttle body change AND the original stock throttle body to turning off Overdrive?
4. Am I gonna get flame for asking these dumb questions?
Thanks,
Tim™

Message: no, thats what this website is all about, getting
your questions answered. as for the overdrive i
dont know i have a manual. as for the TB go to
speedtweaks.net. he sells 3 conversions. a stock
v8 for $200, a ported v8 for $250 and a custom
one for $400. i personally plan on buying the
ported one for $250. its a great deal and it comes
with the necessary hardware for the conversion.
(you have to change your trottle cable) from what
i hear the added low end tourque is great. i can;t
wait to get mine. but jsut got to speedtweaks and
read up i'm sure you'll find your answers there.
