Message: I drive a 1992 Dodge Dakota Sport automatic 3.9 liter.I have changed the fuel filter, cleaned the throttle body and I have changed the crank shaft positioning sensor which only worked for six days the first time I changed it and two days the second time I changed it.I have a little bit of white smoke coming from my exhaust in the morning but it drives fine most of the time but not all the time.It seems to act up the most in the afternoon when it is warmer outside. It just shuts off while driving.Sometimes it sputters and I can pump the gas peddle and make it stay cranked but not all the time. Please help if you can.

Message: Not sure of the white smoke, but I'm leaning toward the fuel pump getting ready to take a dump on ya, as far as the stalling.

Message: White smoke from the exhaust usually means there water being burned in the cylinder. Not good. The stalling could be anything already mentioned or the infamous #115 splice just below the underhood fusebox.
Have you checked for codes?
Bucket, good to see you out and about.
