Subject: backfiring v6 IP: Logged
Message: My 92 3.9 Dakota backfires and sputters a lot.
I have to restart it over and over till it runs right.
The ring in the distributor is fine I checked that already.
All vacuum lines are good too.
Also when it starts up I know its not gonna run right because it will rev to 2k rpm & then die.
Any suggestions?
Someone told me the spark controller computer was the problem but idk.

Message: That code P1391 could have a few causes. Bad cam or crank
sensor, worn distributor or distributor bushing. Worn timing
chain, bad or corroded connectors to the cam or crank sensor.
Check the connections first to make sure they are clean and
tight. Then check the sensors, if possible or replace them.
