Subject: Engine shuts down IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota, 2WD, 3.9L V-6 engine. Started having an issue with the engine completely shutting down while driving. thought maybe the fuel pump was going bad so replaced it...no help. I've taken the truck to a few mechanics and they have replaced some of the computers but the truck STILL has the same issue. It will start and run but randomly sputters out and dies. Wait a bit and it will start up again. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Message: There is a splice under the under hood fuse box. 3 wires into
one, red or red/white. Redo that splice. It tends to corrode and
the splice sends power to the PCM, fuel pump and ignition.

Message: Ok, the problem turned out to be a crankcase position sensor. Bad thing is, I had it replaced and the problem persisted. turned out the replacement sensor was bad. : / Replaced the sensor again and problem is fixed. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. Maybe this will be helpful to others.
