Message: I’m getting my entire truck repainted next month(hail damage),and I’m going to have them leave the V6 emblems off but im thinking about having them leave the decals off also, I just don’t know it what would look good or not (i have a black sport with red decals)....what do you think? I'm also looking into a bed cover for my truck, x-tang and la-bra both make soft cover that raise up on shocks like the hard covers do but I’m worried about leakage, does anyone out there have them if so do they work?

Message: I hava an x-tang cover and in heavy downpours at hiway speed everything stays dry, however the vinal is getting on to 4 plus years old and is lterally shrinking to the point that it is impossible to snap down the rear corners. everything stays dry, the doggone cover looks like junk and some of the snaps are starting to pull through. x-tang has refused to make good on it.

Message: If your going to have them leave the V6 emblems off there are two locateing holes behind each one that will have to be filled. I have a sportmasters hinged cover, the 90 degree corner posts near the tailgate broke about 4 times in the two years I've had it. I also had to replace one of the struts and recently and had to straighten the two side rails after a wind storm popped the back latch and folded it right over my cab. I don't know if the other brands are better but in my opinion a standard soft cover that doesn't raise might hold up better.

Message: i have a black dak with the red emblems.....i kinda like them on there......but i dont like them on the blue trucks. and how much do them soft raise up kind cost? b/c i got a fiberglass one from leer for $700 which i have saw fiberglass ones for as low as $400....i would go with a fiberglass b/c they will last longer and i have not saw a new one that leaks yet.

Message: i say leave them off b/c the truck will look a lot smoother. as far as the cover goes i would get a fiberglass one. i have one and it lasts a long time and if u want to remove it it only weighs bout 150 pounds and comes off in 5 minuts. The soft covers also are a pain in the a$$ in the winter b/c they shrink.

Message: Leave the stickers off. The truck looks much
better without them. Have you looked at a roll-
up cover ( Access or Truxedo)? If you are
going to haul a lot of stuff, these are the way to
go. Takes about 30 seconds to roll up and roll
back down. The sides velcro down. Plus there
is no drilling involved in the installation. In two
plus winters here in the Midwest I've had no
problems with the vinyl shrinking or leakage.

Message: yea I saw them but they are like a giant sail when hauling a full load of tree branches or a dorm room full of furniture, (two kids away to college) the only time they are good for the things in your bed is if the things in your bed fit under the cover and that just ain't the case for me most times so a roll up cover is best in my situation. I looked at the ones that roll up like a roll top desk but in my opinion the roll up device took up too much bed space too.
