Subject: leaking radiator IP: Logged
Message: Noticed a leak in my radiator about half way up on the right side. Can I use Barrs sealant or similar until I have the time to replace the radiator or should I just jump in and do it. I am not a mechanic but can figure things out when needed. V6 with what I assume is seperate trans cooler in front of radiator. Any tips or comments greatly appreciated. Who has the least expensive parts. Thanks

Message: Thx Diemaker. I did try the barrs powder. About half the container and it did stop the leak. But I just couldn't help thinking it was a band aid so I replaced the radiatior. Alot more involved than I read about on the web and would have been smoother if I had all the proper tools and rachet extensions but got her done. Just bothered me that I could not remove all the coolant and didn't want to mess with the engine plugs. Thx for getting back to me.
