yeah i use truckperformance.com alot. i picked up
the headers from them awhile ago. they were on
clearence so i got a good price. part #1939 that
from JBA. their out there just gotta find them.
put a TB on that list of mods. i got a v-8tb and i
like it alot. hey intense......what size pipe did
you use for the turbo. i'm tryin to set one up but
i wanna get it all together first

where? i used many different size pipes
1 3/4" for header tubes
2" for crossover pipe
2 1/4" flange off of turbo
2 1/2" exhaust
2" and 2 1/4" for intake

I'll let you know the 1997 Dakota I own Has a MagV6 (and no it is not a quad). My Mustang is running Stock like my Dakota.

Premag has nothing to do with the Dakota loosing If both are running stock like mine are, Mag or Premag the Mustang will win everytime.

actually the premag engines lacked in power
compared to the mag engines. the mag v-6 puts out
almost as much as a premag 5.2 v-8. 175 vs 190 so
yes there is a difference in power between mag and
premag. and ok its not a quad but what is it? a
4x4 with a towing package. see it seems to me your
just hiding somethin. so come on tell us excatly
what kind of Dak you got

I havent raced a 6 banger mustang in my Dakota yet but I did race one when I had my 3.0 ranger and beat it by about 2-3 car lengths, I mean I felt bad for the guy because thats suppossed to be a sports car. Im not talking junk because I actually come from a ford family and if I had it my way I would be driving a Lightning, but Im happy with my v6 Dakota. In my opinion its just usless putting naturally aspirated 6 cyl in a mustang or any sports car that size for that matter. Its a good looking car but thats not even half of the reason for having a sports car. Am I alone or this or what?

2001 v6 dak, are you sure the guy was racing. Those cars really shouldnt be that slow. My friend has a 3.0 Ranger and the 2 of us run about even.....I'm quicker.

yeah...4X4 adds a good 500 lbs to a normal dak plus you loose more hp in the transfer case

hey intense you say you got the paint at o'riely's. i just want to know was it expensive? and did it take alot of it to do? also can they order ant color that you want? ive wanted mine like that since ive seen my buddies R/T, it is the same color as yours. i am looking for a PLASMA GREEN to go with my reverse and fog lamps. appreciate it.

well... i dont know if dupli-color makes that paint. It costs the same amount as any of the Truck/SUV line of paint. Go to www.dupli-color.com to see what colors they have... but not all colors are listed

hey greg im going to go to Oriely's in the morning when i get off to check with them to see if they do or can get it if not. Intense has not steered wrong yet. cause if i can find something close to what im looking for and they got it then im going to do my truck this weekend. i just got my new cold air intake, what a differnece. before it would go and now it just gets up and runs no questions asked, next on the list is a JET Stage II, then we'll see what i want after that. Ill let you know Greg.

once i finally got off my @s$ and just went inside o'rielys i found just what i was looking for. but then i decided not to do that after all so i just used the paint on my dirtbike. i just have not find the right color

well Greg i hope you get her to start. im holding off on any further mods for the moment. at the moment i am checking into getting a 2003 R/T. i am going to go thursday to the dealership to check out a fresh one on the lot. basicly the the only thing that will stop me from getting it is financial. but im hoping that i will come up okay in that department. well sorry for rambling just kinda excited.

oh yeah when you look for the paint go to Oriely's and like intense said if they dont have it they can and will get it for you and i even found a guy that had done some of it too and he even took the time to show me the best way to paint it
