Subject: oil filter problem IP: Logged
Message: While trying to remove oil filter on my 2004 Dodge Dakota V6 the filter broke off at the housing. Any ideas how to get it off. There isn't much room to get up in there with anything.

Message: Finally got it off with a dremel tool by grinding it off in a spot enough to get a screw driver under it to release pressure off the rubber seal. Wish I had seen y'all ideas sooner, sure would have saved me some time. After 40 years of changing my own oil this is the first time this has ever happened to me and hope its the last.
