Subject: can it be my MAP sensor IP: Logged
Message: I have a '98 dodge dakato, 3.9 V-6.
While I am driving it will sometimes sputter and die for no apparent reason. Sometimes it will immediately fire back up, and off I go. Sometimes, more frequently here of late, I will have to wait a few minutes for the problem to clear up before it will restart. Then I am off and running as if it never happened. It can stall out first thing in the morning, when the engine is cold, or after it has warmed up. One time, a while back, it backfires through the exhaust. It can happen at any speed but seems to be more common as slower speeds.
The code that has come up most frequetly is PO351 "ignition coil primary circuit condition.
I have also hadPO429 which I believe is the catalytic converter.
When it happen last is got code PO108, which lists MAP/BARO/WAF and VAF all as possibilities.
The following had been replaced:
Plugs, Wires, distributor rotor, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor.
Where should I go from here?
Is the next logical step to replace the MAP sensorc
