Subject: 89 Dakota Fuel Pressure Relief
IP: Logged

Message:
I have spent all day changing out the fuel filter on my 89 dakota. Afterwards, it will not start. I know this is because I need to bleed the air out of the fuel rail. However, after three frustrating hours of being unable to find the damned thing, wondering if it has one at all, and if not, how to bleed the air from the fuel system.

1989 3.9 Throttle Body V6 2wd auto

Truck ran fine before changing out the filter (other than the sputtering caused by a nasty filter) Please help, I need this truck on the road 4 hours ago.

Should specify Im looking for the pressure relief valve (schrader valve) which is normally on the fuel rails. I've looked up several diagrams and none match up what's in my truck.
