Subject: V6 broke fan... IP: Logged
Message: ok so im trying to get my friends 95 up and running
after 6 months. The fan clutch completely ripped
off one day and all that is left is just the nut
that is right in front of the pulley. Should i just
be able to twist this nut off by jamming the pulley
and then put a whole new assembly on?

Message: What would I need to order to replace the whole thing? Just
the fan and fan clutch?

Message: If the fan itself is still good you can reuse it and install on a new fan clutch. If it's bent or broken you could find one in a salvage yard. Or you could upgrade to an electric fan. Either aftermarket or use a factory unit from an '00 and up Dak. An electric fan would require a temp switch and a relay with a little wiring but if you have basic electircal skills it's a snap.
Compare the cost of each option and make a choice.
