Subject: No forward gears?

95 dodge dakota 6cyl automatic 4 wheel drive. The truck just
lost all forward gears, still have reverse. There was no noises
when it happened you it was like i just bumped it into
neutral. Anyone have any ideas?

Well i have looked at the cable and such it is moving down on
the side of the trans. However there is a line on the top
drivers side that looks like some sort of a vacuum line with a
cylinder that would compress when vacuum gets applied, but
with engine off i can move it freely.

Hi Jay
I'm not to familiar with the Dak automatics.
(5 speeds for me) Sounds almost like you're talking
about a modulator but I don't think they used them
in 95.
All I can say untill someone else chimes in, Remove
the part, Clean and inspect it for damage or wear.
If all looks good then re-install it.
Also check that vac line for cracks or damage.

Wow dont know why it reposted same thin. What i was trying
too put up is that i have the year wrong. 95 was a different
vehicle it is actually a 92
