UPDATE

Now have about 4k miles on my RR's just got back from FL my mpg was the same as my last trip down 22 mpg running 70-75 mph still getting 17-18 mixed.
I recently got brave and ported my V8 TB (see post under cut the TQ step out) this made throttle response allot quicker from dead stop.

Ported V8 TB & 1.7 RR's are two of the best mods I've done to my V6

Dan, glad you got back from Florida safe, and that your rockers are continuing to work so well. I'm gonna go with both the headers and the rockers as $$$ permits...why is it always so hard to save it, but so darned easy to get rid of it?

The V8 TB helped boost the low end, after installing it I could break the tires loose not before.

The RR's kick in around 2500 rpm they are real nice when you pull out to pass someone the truck pulls nice from there up the rpm's

Hey Dan, I got the F&B TB and the Intense intake on last night...went pretty smooth. I got done at midnite though, so I haven't started it up yet...drove my other truck to work this morning. I'll have pics on my page at dodgetruckworld when I get them developed. I didn't reconnect the MAP line to the manifold, since I don't have the 1.7's on yet, so hopefully I won't notice the same problem that you did. The intake looks pretty neat, but a lot different...

Cooool................

Now all you have to do is drive it for about 300 miles for the PCM to learn the new settings that's what mine took about 300-350 miles.

keep us informed !!!!!

Dan, did your truck idle differently after you'd reset the PCM? I did the alleged reset...disconnection of the negative side of the battery, turn the key to ON for 30 seconds, then reconnect. I started it up, and it idled just fine...drove it, and it ran just like it did before. So far, I have a hard time telling any difference between old and new performance levels. I was expecting a little more out of the F&B. As I understand it, the PCM will gradually relearn the conditions with the new TB...do you think that I should go ahead and try resetting it again?

Also, exactly what difference did you notice between your V6 TB and the V8 TB? More torque? Quicker off the line? I was expecting more off the line quickness and harder pull, but it doesn't seem to be there yet. I put my foot in it, and it just dogs along like it did before, especially from a rolling start. So many others have reported such a noticeable change...either their trucks had the 0-60 times of a forklift, or I feel cheated :-( Maybe, God is telling me I need a HEMI.

Hey Pistol

Yes my truck did idle a little rough for about 350 miles, It was sometime around or after that I noticed that I could turn the tires a little on take off.
Then when I ported the TB that was more noticeable.

When you reset the PCM did you turn the key all the way to START and hold it ?

This weekend take the truck out for a road trip and put some miles a few hundred would be nice hehehe.....

Hmmm...no, I didn't turn it to Start and hold it, just to "ON"...that may be my problem...didn't check my notes before I tried it. I'll give that a shot tonight. Maybe, there'll be a surprise waiting for me.

Yeah, I want to get some more miles on it. It's supposed to be nice this weekend, so I'm thinking of just taking a cruise to a little town that's supposed to have a nice restaurant...went over to Topeka, where my daughter lives last weekend to work on her computer...that was good for about 200 miles. Thanks again, you've been a great help these past weeks...I still want a HEMI (the red one in your profile would be nice)...P

Silent...can't say yet, I ended up being gone all last night due to a last minute commitment, and haven't had a chance to reset the PCM. Plan on doing that in a few minutes...I'll post any changes real soon, I hope...P
