 Subject: no spark

i just finished putting a differnt 3.9 in my dakota. when i turn the key it rolls over but i dont have any spark? i am hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction on what to check first. thanks

Check for codes first. What year is the truck and what year engine did you install?

Start with checking fueses. Next, move onto tracing the spark paths: coil, dist cap, wires(including coil), plugs. Then the "start cycle components", check the crankshaft position sensor (by the flywheel) and the camshaft position sensor.

Also, check the fuel pump fuse. I found there's no spark with this fuse out.
