Message: If the engine light is on, Check for codes.
Light is NOT on go to the wire splice.
Under hood black fuse/relay box
Located drivers side inner fender well
Remove the box carefully
untape the wire harness (6 to 8 inches back)
You are now looking for a splice of 3 to 4 wires
These are usually red/white striped
The splice gets cruded up or breaks all together
Cut the splice out
re-do it
tape the harness back up
(tight & neat to keep water/moisture out)
Re-attach the box
If this doesn't solve your problems
Then you should check fuel pressure next.

Message: I put my old Japan Ignition Coil back on that I had issues in real hot weather. Warmed up and Idled fine.
Ran good on the road. Tried to kill it by revving to 2000 Rpms and letting off the throttle real fast & and didn't shut off at idle.
There was no check-engine light on and I redone the wire-splice a couple years back. No codes with the switch on off 3 times.
I really don't like how the connector plugs into our coil on the Gen 1 trucks upside down. I hope it doesn't give me any trouble. The way it was doing sounded like a ignition issue. The coil I had on it was made in TAIWAN!

Message: I want to get a lift kit for my 1995 dodge dakota v6 magnum club cab with a 3.9L in it, I was thinking like 3" to 8" lift. But I think i have a sport tranny in it because i burned up the bands in the last tranny i had in it and then got a new transmission but yet i think its a sport because it seems like it accelerates more, does anyone know how to tell the difference? The transmission is not my issue but it would be helpful to know.

Message: My 2002 Dakota used to do this. I would be riding down the road minding my own business, and it would just shut off like I had turned off the ignition. We beat our head against the wall until we found out it was the crankshaft position sensor. It's a bitch to get to, but fairly inexpensive. I replaced it and haven't had problems with my truck since. Hope this helps.
