Subject: Thought I knew what I was doing . IP: Logged
Message: I recently did an engine swap of one of my dakotas out of 5 spd into an auto , both were 92's , and both were supposed to be magnums. Everything went smoothly ,took complete harness and computer into my auto everything is plugged up except for the pickup from the distributor I CAN NOT find the plug for it anywhere on this truck . I junked the old motor and the truck the good motor came from . What is the difference in the 3.9 an the 3.9 magnum. I have a94 auto lwb ,daily driver lawn trk and a 94 swb 5spd sprt and this is a 92 lwb auto. all are 2x4's any help appreciated.

Message: dam that sucks, too bad you cant just give the
coil power and just turn ditributor for timing,
its got crank, cam position, asd, YOU CAN GET 1995
MANUAL FROM - WWW.FILECROP.COM SEARCH THEN
DOWNLOAD IT , BUT WIRING IS MORE LIKELY DIFFERENT
AND I KNOW THEY ARE NOT ALL NEXT TO EACH OTHER SO
BEST BET IS BUY 1992 MAGNUM AUTO MANUAL , ITS ALOT
CHEAPER THAN A RIP-OFF ARTIST {MECHANIC} AND WHEN
YOU GET FINISHED WITH THAT MAKE SURE TIMING IS ON,
I ADVANCED MINE 8' AND GOT WAY MORE TORQUE AND IF
YOU KNOW HOW TO USE A VACUUM GAUGE - TUNE IT UP
POPULAR MECHANICS HAS A VACUUM CHART AND LEARNS
YOU ON IT IF YOU WANNA CHEK IT.
