 Subject: 2000 fuel pump no power

i have a 2000 dakota 3.9 with 420000. i started a body job on it, but have not had the time to finish it . the feul pump always came on when i turned the key now in the past month or so i tuned the engine up with new cap and button charged the battery hoping to start, turned the key ....... not a kick out of the fuel pump. got a test light and i have no power at all coming to the pump? can anyone give me an idea where to start to look?
