 Subject: 99 Dakota comper keeps getting fried.

I have a friend that has a 99 dakota and has an issue with the main computer getting fried. I have gone over there to look over the wiring harness for shorts. The issue is that we really don't kow what is going on. The computer is getting fired (to be specific 2 computers have be fried in the same spot C3 wire 12, which is a green/ orange wire). But what I can tell this wire runs to the ingintion coil, fuel injectors and to the fuse box (auto shut off relay fuse). We have looked at everthing to make sure all looks sound and solid. We are comming up with nothing. I keep reading about points of junctions and that this might be the issue, we have looked and all looks sound in the harness. Any help would be great, we are at a stale mate and he can't affod to buy new computers everytime he starts the truck.

I would suggest changing the coil and cleaning all the grounds.

I agree sounds like a possible ground issue.
What codes where you getting before it goes?
