 Subject: New Injectors

Ok I just got my new injectors from bruce at fiveO,He said i had to have the designIII so they cost me $188. with shiping. Now is there anything special i need to know for the install, My shop manual says i have to take off the throtle body and an air braket is this correct and does anyone have any other tips.

I put the design 2 in my 95 V6 dak and I would say let the truck sit ovenight(leves less fuel in the rail)
takeoff airhat push the little valve on the fuel rail to empty any fuel in there (have a rag ready) unbolt the 4 bolts that hold the fuel rail down and you can wiggle each injector out without takin the whole rail off. you will have a little bit of fuel come out of the rail (don't forget to put a little bit of oil on the o rings it makes it alot easier to put the new ones indo one at a time and make sure the metal clip is in the right spot there are two groves on the injectors and I put them on the wrong grove so it appeared the injectors were too short
reset PCM and your good to go

well ive been told by mant that the FMS injectors dont work on 2000 and up dakotas, am i wrong?

Hey Dudes;
I just got done with the install and a short test drive.Install was a snap and it does seem to run alot smoother,at idle I could hardly tell it was running. Now to see if it helps MPG. Ill let you know in a couple of days.

alright in past posts people told me not to buy them cause they DONT fit because of different wiring harnesses, whats the deal???

Just have to call bruce at fiveO and he will hook you up with the right injectors, like i said i had to get the designIII they cost a little more but the install was a snap, no problem with wiring harness. I also heard bernd say the same thing , DIII.
