Does anyone own a 2004 Dakota? I have a flapper at the beginning of the fuel filler neck that is just flapping there, I see no spring attached.
Any one know if this is broke or is it suppose to just hang there?

If you mean the metal flapper that blocks off the pipe until you insert the nozzle, yes, it is spring-loaded to hold it shut. It shouldn't harm anything if the spring breaks. Your gas cap makes the vapor seal.
