I am trying to recharge the air conditioning system on my dad's truck. I bought the R-134A refrigerant kit, but the fittings on the bottles don't seem to fit the valves on the truck. Am I at the wrong spot or do I need to get some type of adapter for this older truck. ANY advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

You need the retro fit (conversion) kit.
Take warning you put it on the wrong side and the
can is going to EXPLODE!

For your own safety either find someone that know A/C systems or get a manual and read it before attempting the service. Things can go BOOM!
