Message: My Dak didnt pass smog. ugh. its a 1997 3.9 4x4, just put in a rebuilt engine 220 miles ago. Has the 5.0 motorsports injectors, harlan-sharp 1.7 rockers, K&N intake, MSD ignition. Aside from the engine, I changed the coil (MSD), plugs (gaped at .045)cap, rotor, crank and cam position sensors and both oxygen sensors. The injectors have been in there for 7 years or so, I'm thinking that may be the problem perhaps. All the sensors I changed are OEM.....
Anybody have any ideas ??
Thanks.

Message: Forgot to mention that.. No codes either ! Had a P1391 (camshaft position sensor) when I first got it fired but a new sensor and the proper synch cured that.

Message: Any exhaust leaks before the catcon? If so fix those first. Then check the MAP sensor. And check for vacuum leaks. Could be leaky injectors. Do you have a hard time starting it after it sits for a while?

Message: Starts just fine after sitting for a while. I'm going to check again for vacuum leaks as well as check the MAP sensor and put the stock injectors back in.
Thanks for the replies daddio
