Subject: IAC Replacement Question IP: Logged
Message: All: Just have a question on IAC replacement. When cleaning out the IAC port, after removing the old one, can I shoot carb cleaner in there and use a q-tip to clean it out? After installing the new one will the truck idle normally or does the computer have to re-learn proper IAC functioning? Thx>>AJ

Yes
"After installing the new one will the truck idle normally or does the computer have to re-learn proper IAC functioning?"
Maybe to both parts of this one. if it doe snot idle, start the engine with nothing turned on, a/c, radio, lights, etc... Let it idle for about 2 or 3 minutes and that should be long enough for it to "re-learn" the idle.
