Message: The engine in my Dakota has 60k miles on it, and the motor
is making a loud tapping/rattling noise from around the intake
manifold base on each side, even after a kill the engine it
makes the noise for a few seconds afterwards. Any idea
what's wrong, cuz I'm baffled. Thanks, SR
Message: Check your timing chain. If it quiets down at higher rpms it's the chain. If it gets louder and faster at hgher rpms it could be lifters or something else.
