I have a 2000 v6 and was thinking of getting the powerdyne SC. What exactly needs to be modified so it fits the v6? And if its been modified for the v6 can it been used on the v8, because I plan on getting a v8 4wd in a few years. Also what is the bear minimum I need to do to my truck for the SC, I only plan to run it on #6 for now.
thanks

Message: The fender needs to be banging in to make room for the SC. The v8s sit farther forward in the engine compartment and do not need this to be done.
You can reuse the SC if the v8 is a '96-01. There seems to be two Powerdyne kits, one for the '96-'99 and one for the '00 & '01. The difference in the two kits might not be much of anything to worry about. Bernd at speedtweaks would be able to answer the differnce between the two.
I'd recommend exhaust (at least) work but nothing is an absolute must before slapping on the SC @ 6lbs. I would order a 50mm flowmetric TB when buying the SC (put them on together). The more intake and exhaust work, the more power the SC will unleash. Good Luck

Message: I didn't have to bang the fender on my '97. Yes, you'll need to trim the intake tube (from the blower to the airhat) by 2".
On the TB size, the 50mm is perfect for 9# or higher...with 6#, stick with a V8 TB.

Message: I read the krc performance statement on why they stopped carrying the Powerdyne unit, too bad. I've also read similar comments by a few Daks and Rams at moparchat, with most of them going with Vortech now. Is your unit an expection and lasting longer than the average? What are your thoughts on this?
