 Subject: 3.9L Engine Build - Upgrades?

I have a 93 Dakota 4x4 5 speed. Its still in good shape and is a good truck but its time for a motor. I have a spare 3.9 that i am getting ready to re build. I know it needs a cam and some lifters for sure, see what else it needs when i get further into it.
I am not interested in changing everything over accompany a v8 but more power is always good. Im just looking for some cost effective ways to get a little more snot out of this already peppy v6.
Looking for suggestions on ignition system upgrades, air intake and exhaust, and engine mechanical upgrades as well.
Looking to get started on this in the next couple weeks.

1.7:1 roller rockers, Harlan Sharpe
V8 or modified V6 throttle body
Port match intake and exhaust manifolds to the heads.
Clean up the runners, intake and exhaust manifolds.
Antyhing else you can think of to help the engine breathe better.
