Message: I have a stock 94 3.9 auto 2x4 and it just has nothing unless you shift it manually once on the interstate drive anywhere. If you start out in low 1 in will burn the tire off but if you are in drive and punch it from stopped it is like it just barely has the power to go untill it gets going ? My buddy had this trk for years and I got it for $500 after his DUI it is an old ginos mantnce trk w/ 328,000 miles on it and I would drive it cross country once it gets rolling.

Message: I'm trying to remember what they called it when mine did that. It would start out in 2nd unless you manually shifted it. I had to take it to a shop to get it fixed - about $275 as I recall. They said it was a pressure switch or solenoid IIRC. Been working fine ever since - about 4 years now.
