Message: Ok so I found that, my engine temperature sensor/ engine
coolant sensor or whatever u wanna call it, was a little bad, I
changed it, gave me 1.2 more mpg.
I was getting 9.4 but now I get 10.5,
I got the Gibson headers installed and they gave me .3 mpg.
And those things gave me a huge power gain! Middle end.
And my truck sounds like no v8 but it does sound like a low
rumble. I have a magnaflow on there too.
That SCT tuner gave me more low end. No mpg gains
though. I'm running 91 octane, and NO the gas station I go to
does NOT have winterblend gas. It's the normal gas.
Anyways, from what I learned is that those xf2e injectors from
five o motorsports are trash, they gave me -2mpg. And they
didn't give me much performance for what they are worth,
maybe teeny tiny gain of power. I want to return them cause
they are trash, but what else would I put for performance
injectors?
And last but not least I found that my truck does smell like
gas, but it might not be running rich, maybe I got a leak in my
fuel lines, Sean gave me a tip to Check my fuel trims at
advance auto to see if it is running rich just in case, cause I
have checked ever sensor,
IAT, O2's, MAP, IAC, TPS, EVAP, fuel injectors aren't leaking,
and new fuel pump and my vacuum lines are fine as is my
plenum gasket.
Ah and the removal of the fan clutch caused my truck to heat
up, it has a 180 stat and it's winter! But that could be cause
of the aggressive timing table of the tuner causing it to
overheat.
Oh and I still haven't gotten to the rack n pinion, I'll update
about that when I get to it.
And just for the he!l of it I'll put the best mods I noticed,
Gibson headers with Tuner
Harland Rockers with TB
CIA and muffler,(2in pipe, anything else will throw down Ur
mpg, I have a 3in on there and I lost 1mpg.)
