Message: i wrecked my 88 dakota. i have got it back to where it is time to try and start the truck. but the fuel pump doesnt come on. there is probably some sort of fuel pump shut off switch that was tripped i am guessing. where is this switch. or is in in the ecm? if so do i pull the battery and put the battery back into reset the ecm? if so i tried that and it didnt work. i was able to start and run the engine by spraying starting fluid down the throttle body. so there has to be a trick to this hidden switch.

Message: thanks fo rthe reply. i go tit figured out. the fuse is only the fuel gauge fuse so nothing in there. the computer has to be reset with the computer scanner. but that wasnt my problem. my problem was that when i removed the bed i cut the tail light harness to go with the bed i am keeping and putting on the new dakots. when i cut the wires i lost my ground. and also since the truck was in such a wreck as it was. the fuel pump wires inside of the tank came off of the fuel pump. once i grounded the two grey wires and hooked the wires back to the fuel pump inside of the tank i was able to start and drive what was left of this truck.
