L will list my mods

48mm F5B
ram air hood scoop
portet intake
ported heads
msd 6a box ss blaster coil
crank sensor mod
IAT mod
injector sync at +8
200/210 cam with 1.7 harlands
JBA headers
carsound high flow
11748 dynomax factory tail
this setup still shows the best low end torque of
all the systems out there with no top end loss
on dyno runs
I have put my one stroker motor back in and this
is all running with the stock computer and a
jet stage 2 chip but the rev limiter has been
removed

I also have a nordask anolog A/F ratio guage in
my truck with a SMT6 tunner to set timing and
A/F ratios on the go

14.3 @ 99mph
95 4x4 V6
also have 2 shift kits in the trans, valve body
all TCI but also used the cousion blockers the
transgo kit uses for quicker firmer shifts, the
hole size for the lockup presure has been
increased 50% but if you do this you need to
replace all the pump and converter seasls with
better ones it will blow the seals right out

think I have it all listed but it is still just
a fun little truck to cruse around and blow
people off with LOL

Nice haha. Runs fast for a sixer 4x4. 99 in 14 seconds. Wow.
I get to 60 in 12 seconds. Sucks.
My truck is running rich, I still haven't gotten the chance to
check what's wrong with it.

Shift kits? I'm interested in those, what ya recommend for
mine? Cause I haven't found any info on em.
And how are the MSD systems? I wanted to buy the blaster
SS and the 6A box but they seem expensive, are they worth
it?

Oh and I meant to put 4x2 on my truck specs. Lmao 2x4!!!

Ok so I was looking around, I decided...
MSD Ignition coil and the 6A box,
Rear Differentials(which ones would fit my truck best for
speed!)
Or a shift kit for my truck.

Which mods will show a big increase in performance for
speed?
Which mods are worth it?

Are you talking about top end speed or speed off of the line? Two diffferent things.

Are you concerned about fuel mileage?

Lastly, If you're looking for top end speed I need to know what area of the country you're driving in because I have enough idiotic wannabe racers to avoid around here already.

That sounds a little hostile. The roads are tough everywhere.

Jeff, as daddio was asking, are you looking to improve off-the-line, 0-60 speed? Or top end? These are opposite goals. A ratio like the 3.9 if you have the 3.55 is a good compromise to get more low-end acceleration. Or even 4.10. If you wanted more top end, 3.55 or 3.21 would do. I would not put a 3.21 in any vehicle that you want to accelerate faster in.

It's been said that the most effective mods are the throttle-body resizing/boring, fuel injection sync, crank position sensor mod and cold air intake. These can all be done with no internal motor work, at low cost. Then the rocker mod is next. I would not add a performance ignition without other mods, you won't see any gain.

Off the line, cause my truck has top end, I just want more low
end. And don't worry Daddio, reason for wanting a fast truck is
to cut those people who cut me off without signaling in Te
street. And to go to deserted roads and race friends and
there are many in Vegas! Haha! And I got all those mods
except the fuel injector sync bob.

I was thinking 3.9 or the 4.1 gears maybe...
But what are their ups and downs? I would like best MPG
and more low end speed(faster take off).

And as for the performance ignition, would it be worth buying
for my truck? I have all my mods listed up there.
I was thinking to add a shift kit maybe...is it worth it though?
I know if I get gears it's worth it but I just don't know which
ones. And I dont know if it's worth it to buy the ignition
system...

By worth it I mean I'm looking for low end and MPG, if I out
those mods and it shows a little difference it's not worth it.
I want somewhat of a noticeable difference to make u say,
HEY! :) like the Harlands and Throttle Body mods were a big
difference.

Well, I like to say: Cheap, Fast, Reliable, pick two, because you can't have all three. Gears installed for a 4x2 will probably run you about 500. Since you have an auto trans, go with the 4.1 gears. Gas mileage in town may even go up but highway mileage will take a dump.

Wat u mean pick one? Out of the speed n mpg? Or the shift
kit n gears?
And ok 4.10 sounds good. I barely do any highway miles.

U guys know anything bout the ignition system though? It
doesn't look like its worth buying...

Think about it.

You will have to pick two oout of the three.

Anyway, The ignition mods you listed, along with all those other mods, will help but I don't know how much you'll be able to notice it. Keep in mind, those ignition mods will be harder on the other ignition components than a stock system will. So, you'll be changing the cap, rotor and plugs more often than a stock ignition system.

Going to a numerically higher gear ratio will help low end acceleration, but hurt gas mileage. Likely it will defeat any gas mileage gains from the mods. So you can't have both good gas mileage and low-end acceleration. If you had a turbo, that actually does let you have one or the other in the same engine at different times. My Daytona Turbo Z gets 31-34 mpg, but is fast off the line.

I haven't done any mods on my truck except adding a snorkel and pre-heater hose off a hand-made heat stove, for faster cold engine warmup. It made the engine idle MUCH smoother when cold, and gives me up to 1/2 mpg more at best.
