 Subject: 99 dead truck

Please help!
Have a 99 Dakota. Won't start. Turn on ignition, starter will
run but will not start. Have no gauges, no check engine light
and the odometer display shows mileage initially then
flashes 4 times before changing to " no bus ". If you try and
get codes through the obd port the scanner says turn on
ignition even though it is.

Check fuses, check connections from battery and computer. If good, then the computer is probably toast.

Also check all 3 grounds, Remove clean down and
reconnect.
(battery to body, body to frame, frame to engine)
Seen once were this was just a rusty ground
wire/connection so you might get lucky.
Give us an update.

I also posted some info on my old post about your problem basically sumerizing what the other guys said also try a new pcm, cause that would definetly could cause the problem. If not then you got a back up one now, its ok there not overally expencive its worth just haveing an extra just in case of something bad will happen in the near future, I got 3 so far lol, though ya change the pcm. and please more info or we can only do the basic check's here also look under the dodge forum in google they have an excellent web site with good ideas.

Checked grounds, fuses and connections to computer,
they're all good. What pins actually power the computer.
Would like to check that before buying a computer.
