Message: I have a 1991 Dakota sport 3.9l v6 with cracked block and I purchased a 1996 Dakota sport engine 3.9l v6. Problem is my '90 has throttle body and the '96 is fuel injected. How can i get this to work in my '90 truck?

Message: Lennon, I think there are a few things that MIGHT work, if you can bolt the throttle body on the intake of the 96, you could leave the fuel injectors disconnected and that MIGHT work. Another thing you might be able to do is remove the intake and put the 91 intake on the 96 engine. That however I don't know if that would work or not, the thing you could do is check to see if there is any difference in the intake manifold gaskets check with a parts store to see if they use the same gasket, if so it should fit the new engine and just hook up everything as if it were a 91. IF you change the manifolds, do your self a favor and order a new valley pan gasket as well, trust me it can save you a few headaches.
Good Luck
