Can I take a 3.9 v6 with a 5 speed transmission that's 4 wheel drive out of a 97 dakota and take a 318 with an automatic out of a 98 durango and take the 318 and put it in the dakota with the 5 speed 4 wheel drive transmission with the computer and wiring from the durango and make it work?

Quite a read there, But anyway if your looking to
put a V8 on a 97 V6 5 speed trans the end results
won't be pretty. The AX15 will not hold up for long
behind a V8.

I belive that the 97 3.9 V6 tranny is the NV3500, not the AX-15. NV3500 will hole up fine to the 318.

Will I have to have the computer from under the hood and the dash along with the harness to make everything work and will it cause any problems with it being from an automatic going to a 5 speed tranny?
