Message:
93 dakota le v6 ... I'm lookin for some suggestions .. while on
vacation my brother had my truck added some tranny honey
garbage in it and it caused my truck to not shift any gears
and also my tq conv to whine ... so when I came home I
flushed out my tranny but now I have no overdrive... I
replaced the tps, output speed sensor, checked my brake
switch, checked and dash switch. Is there something I'm
forgetting to check. Also maybe 50% of the time ill start in
second instead of first.. also I've been having a lot of really
late shifts(around 4000 rpms) ... any help is greatly
appreciated

Well maybe something got messed up
under the tranny pan, by where the filter
is, cause there are a couple of wires there and sensors
I think, not sure what they are but maybe
you should check em out...

Did you change the filter? I'd run about 4 oz of Marvel Mystery Oil at idle as a solvent for about 10 minutes, putting the gearshift through all the ranges, then drop the pan and change fluid and filter again. Use only Mopar ATF+4.

is it o/d or lockup not shifting

1-2
2-3
3-o/d
o/d-lockup

The o/d and lockup are both controled by the comp
and sols in the trans there is also a tc lockup
valve in the body

I had the same problem for a long time. It turned out to be a sensor on the transmission.Just a ten min. fix.

9 times out of 10 its the pressure sensor snd sol
that is bad and both should be replace at the same
time

But first always check the electrical connections and ground these systems switch the ground
on and off not the power side so a bad ground can
effect all the computer operations
