Subject: timing chain IP: Logged
Message: 92 3.9L replaced the timing chain, cam and crank
gear with a cloyes set at 105000 miles. There was
no tensioner on the engine and none came with the
new set. All the chevy chains ive done had a
tensioner. What gives? thanks

Message: And you should use the tensioner with all chains
in the V6 because the cam sits .050 closer to the
crank and will have slop even when new
