Subject: Speed sensor wiring help IP: Logged
Message: I've got a 1994 V6 automatic dakota that I had a friend pull the tranny out of last spring. Took my a while to get around to getting the tranny rebuilt but finally did a couple months ago. I pu the transmission back in myself and have everything hook up except the speed sensor. The only loose plug in the harness has a big square female plug with 6 holes in it and the speed sensor is a flat male plug with 3 prongs, it's also about 6 inches to short to reach the sensor. Am I missing an adaptor in the middle or something?

Message: The 94 RH trans has 2 elect connections
1 flat 3 wirw this is o/d/12 volt center and
lockup
The only other is the 2 wire plug both located on the
drivers side and yes I would say you are missing
a part of the harnass that goes to the rear switch
and to the wire harnass get one from the junk yard
