Subject: Ahhh...Squeaky Brakes IP: Logged
Message: Ok...I'm about to go mad. I just replaced the front brake pads on my 99 dak and everytime I tap on the brakes..SQQQUUUEEEAAAAKKKKK!!! Like the sound goes right thru my brain. Temperature doesn't influence this....breaks squeak hot or cold. What can I do to remedy this?
Please help.
Thanks,

Message: Did you use any brake grease on the sliders and back of the pads? If not, you're asking for the "squeaks".

Message: Daddio...I sprayed the backs of the pads with some red spray which I had to let dry for about 10 minutes. What are the sliders?
I did not turn the rotors down when I did the last brake job. Could this have something to do with it....or its it just no grease?
Thanks,
