 Subject: 88' 3.9 TBI to Carb?

So I'm looking for inexpensive power out of my 3.9 I've heard of swapping throttle bodies with a TBI Non-Egr 318 (throttle cable issue too.) So, I was wondering if it would be a better Idea to ditch the TBI and go Carbureted? If anything it'd probably be a Holley 2bbl.
Any other fuel related suggestions? Or experience with this?

Hate to be the messenger with bad news but, Not much
power to be had with the old 3.9's. They made barely
over 100HP. Swapping to a carb would be easy unless
you have the sniffer test. As for more power, Engine
swap or atleast a cam.....
