Subject: wiring question IP: Logged
Message: i recently put a 1997 v6 motor and auto trans in a 1998 dakota and the wiring harness wasnt exactly the same as far as the plugs on the trans i got everything to plug up on the trans but one plug and it wouldnt work because on the 97 the speed sensor was on the trans and not on the diff like on the 98 but i was wondering what the plug on the trans of the 98 would be that is closes to the drive shaft on the left side if its not the speed sensor like on the 97. i mean the truck drives fine and no check engine light i was just trying to figure out wat it is and if i need to just leave that speed sensor unplugged off the trans or make the 98 harness work with it and the difference in the 97 and 98 dak trans
thanks
