Alright so I've had my Kota for just over a month or so now, and I love it... (with that out of the way) Coming out of school the other day, (senior in highschool) a friend of mine in an older camaro pulls up next to me, he revs his v6, and I follow suit. The light goes green, and leave his A$$ on the line.. (he's got an auto) I see him in the rearview trying to catch up to me. Finally at the next light he pulls up rolls down his window, and asks me "if I got a 5.9" I laugh and say I wish (I don't want one, low MPG) and say I got a four-banger. My freind goes pale white... I say to him: "see I don't have any engine badges, only V6s and v8s got em" A couple of days later I'm talking to my friend (camaro), and he makes the everlasting statement, "damn if a four-banger is that fast, i can't imagine what a 6 is like." Taking great pains not to laugh, I just smile and say, "yeah those sixes are damn fast."

Buddy boy, just to let you know..the four bangers - are 2.5L, the 3.9L is a V6. So if you do have a four banger, fix your specs readout for your Dakota.

I had a similar one. I had thought the 6 came w/ the decals on the panel. So I told my friend that I had a little 2.5 4 banger. We raced. He was running a stock Pontiac Grand Am V6. I had about a car length on him before I stopped the race. We pulled aside, he swore I had a 6. I refused to let him look under the hood. To this day a few people still think I have a 4.
