No but remember you'll want it from a non EGR motor
and might also need the throttle cable.

Re the throttle body - just make sure to transfer all the sensors from the V6 one to
the V8 one..

Monroe, I have a 97 with the 3.9 and have spent the last 4 years putting mods in the motor. Check out hughesengins.com for your motor parts.
My mods: from hughes engines; cam HER0814AL-v6, MSD super coil, MSD wires, MSD 6al ignition module, 1:7 crower rockers, lifters, and hardened pushrods.
Other companies: bored .30 over, Jet stage 2 chip, 25% reduction pulley set, 160* t-stat, cold air intake, throtle body spacer, JBA headers and Y pipe, and topped it off with a Cherry Bomb extreme muffler.
Other mods: 3 inch body lift, Interco(Super Swamper)Trxus M/T, and 4:10 Yukon gears front and rear.
It moves pretty quick and it has a lot of torque, but its just not a v8. I would suggest a 318, at least.

i know V8 would be nice, but looking to stay lite, my is a street truck... ihave spent the last 41/2 year. custum fram, four link in the rear. 20" rims, 3"drop .... shaved body, it turned out real nice now just engine left,, i also found a t3/t4 trubo for it .. it should be good for aleast 150hp.. but have to make custum headers..nothing to hard. how does the cherry bomb sound on your truck i was thinking of getting one for my truck too?

i had the cherry bomb turbo on mine and it sounded nice not really ricey had a good deap tone but i wanted loud so i got a glasspack dumped in front of the axle wish i still had the turbo im gettin annoyed

Very agressive sound. Having the motor bored out made it quite a bit louder. It has a bit of an obnoctious Harly sound. I love it.
