Get belltechs lowering spindles. They are like 2in drop, and it will keep all you orgional steering geo. Or you could get 2in drop coil springs. Or combine the 2 for a 4 in drop. Belltech has all of that. Either get their web site, or check out the Summit catalog it has it. Im not into the drop thing but I love customized Daks.

1" front drop

Message:
Ryan,
I'm also looking to drop just 1" in the front of my '01 quadcab. I've been told that cutting just a 1/2 coil gets you there without damaging the the spring rate significantly. I'm tying to verify that now. My local dodge parts guy wasn't very helpful. Granted, cutting springs it not a very desirable approach, I may give it a chance. Worse case, I'll have to buy some new stock springs. Interestingly, I heard cutting these springs actually softens them because they are wound stiff-soft-stiff, so trimming either end romoves stiffer spring. I haven't been able to confirm that. Certainly the price is right! The other thing that has crossed my mind was buying Western's 2" drop A-arm and then slipping in 1" spacer under the spring. Seems to me a bit invasive for just 1"; also I've heard that using a drop A-arm hurts the turning radius. I haven't been able to confirm that. Oh yeah, one other thing: Dodge has different part numbers for the left and right springs and my 'not so helpful' dodge parts guy indicated that they may be different spring rates. You guessed it, I couldn't confirm that either! I'll likely block the back for 2 to 2.5 inches. So those are my thoughts and the direction that I'm moving.
PS. BellTech's drop spindles are for pre-97 Daks.

To clarify, what year and model is you truck. I was speaking for Gen II and I. If your truck is a GenIII, then youll have to look elsewhere for help. I own a Gen I. So that is my speciality. Good Luck
