Subject: Intake manifold IP: Logged
Message: I need help finding a new intake manifold. I have a 93 v6 auto rwd. With it being old and a v6 that's the hard part. Has anyone replace their's? If so, where did you find it? I need to replace it because mine has a pit where the t-stat sits and leaks colant badly and i don't want to put stop-leak in it because that isn't fixing it that's just hiding the problem. I've tried the junkyard but they don't have any dakotas.

Message: Yeah i know it's the same engine. The closest junkyard is 30 minutes away and they had only one v6 there and it was already in a thousand pieces and of course the manifold was gone. Just my luck i guess.

Message: Try here: www.car-part.com
It will search salvage yards around the country and most of them accept credit cards and ship merchandise to you.

Message: Yes, car-part.com is great. Used it many times.
Or you could just get some JB Weld to fill the void in your manifold.
Yeah, stopleak might not be a good idea for you.

Message: You could also goto a machine shop and ask them what it would cost to fill in the pit and smooth it back down. They drill it out fill it in with weld and machine it down about 1 hours worth of work if that for any machine shop really.

Message: Yeah i could try that. I would've done that by now but i can't find anyone with a tig welder, since the intake manifold is aluminum istead of steel
