Subject: TB sensors? IP: Logged
Message: 2003 Dodge Dakota
Hey guys I know my truck has a TB and IAC sensor but i dont know the sensor on the front to the TB(closest to the radiator). Is it a map sensor? Im trying to check my sensor to see why my mpgs dropped by 1.

Message: Yes, the one on the front of the TB is the MAP sensor. Actually, that's TPS not TB sensor.

Message: If anything , you should more likely be checking/replacing the 02 sensor in front of the cat ..
Make sure to use NGK/NTK sensor
Not Bosch ..

Message: I just replaced the O2 sensors 5,000 miles ago. I have 130,000 miles on her and the mileage dropped to 13.8mpg.

Message: The dealership replaced the valve cover gaskets and a PCV valve. Now the truck is back up to 16mpg.
