 Subject: overfill oil

i have 94 dak 3.9 v6. for some reason the dealers cant get it right when doing oil change. they insist on putting 5 qts of oil when the engine calls for 4 qts. last time a dealer did that i had to dump oil and refill myself, this time i am making dealer take extra oil out. manual says overfill can cause loss of oil pressure and possible engine damage not to mention possibility of oil seal damage. they just dont get it.

another quick ?
what is the oil pressure gague supposed to be at mines closer to 110 than the other extreme

thnks for reply, i run about 40 at idle and 60 to 70 at 55 mph, had dealer dump 1 qt and all is fine now. they still argued with me about my v6 taking 5 qts of oil til i showed them my manual that said 4 qts. ill bet their is alot of ppl that dont even ck the dip stick after oil change at dealer and they can run into trouble like u said.
