Subject: sputtering problem? IP: Logged
Message: I have a sputtering problem after complete tuneup and 02's doesn't always happen when it does truck operating temp, truck is 02'3.9L no codes with scanner or key on off either, thought it was plugs but temporary swap back to old same thing so put back in new plugs. suggestions?? truck has 97+ just was doing routine maintenance.

Message: did you do 1 plug/wire at a time?
(mess up the firing order)
change the routing of the wires?
or could possibly have a bad wire

Message: check your plug wires. You either crossed a wire of your plug wires need replaced.

Message: I hope your reference me to STS as I checked everything over other than a my TPS reading wires are not crossed and no problems with plugs swapped back to old temporary same issue a small hesitation or sputter after a drive warm or operating temp at speed under 10 mph for short time clears up and drives fine after

Hey check to see if maybe you unplugged a sensor or something. Coolant temp sensor right near T-stat housing & check all.
Lastly,
What did you install for plugs and what was the part number on them?

Message: 3923's @ .040 and thank you for thinking i was STS will check coolant sensor and other connectors post later today
