 Subject: clutch actuator

when i depress the clutch pedal after alot of stop and go driving i get a weird sticky feel, i am thinking the hydraulic system is starting to go. it has been doing it on and off for about 4 mos, can i make a 1000ml trip or should i get it fixed first? thanks rob

are you sure you can bleed the system? my haynes manual says you can only replace the whole unit.

robbe, what year is your truck? I have an '00 and there is NO bleeder on it. Looks like replacing the unit as a whole. I about $150.00 fro a complete unit.

i have a 2003 w/3.9L V6, did that include the slave cylinder and clutch piston? my mechanic is recommending replacing both. my truck only has 42K miles, is this normal??

That was a complete unit w/ Master & Slave cylinders and tubing. 42k sounds a little soon. I've got 115k on mine and it's still working great but I noticed where the slave cylinder mounts to the bellhousing looks like it's getting damp.
Let me do some surfing for it again. I'll post back.
