How many 02 sensors does a 99 dakota 3.9 4X4 have, I can only find one after the cat. conv. and in front of the muffler, some people tell me it should be two?

I am not familiar with the 99's, However
You will for sure have atleast have one O2 sensor before the cat. Check the entire Y pipe and then even the exhaust manifolds. If you have been looking for the sensor try looking for wires and follow them.

ive got myself a 97 dak 4x4 3.9l and the other one you are looking for is right where the two parts of the y pipe run together its on the top side of the exhaust pipe leaning towards the passenger frame rail...you wont be able to just peek under and see it. you will have to get on your back to find this one but its not terribly difficult.
