I've been experiencing a high idle condition. All begins normal on my way to work but by the time I arrive, engine idle goes up to about 1200 RPMs. Can't kick it down. When I shut off ignition and restart idle is fine. Is this most likely a TPS or IAC issue? Thx>>AJ

Check fault codes. Could be either, or a vacuum leak.

No fault codes Bob. Its just strange that it happens in the morning after driving highway speed to work. Idle seems to get stuck and won't reset until I shut it down and restart.

No mods, purely stock. I'm going to spray the trottle body with some carb claener this weekend to see if it could have been getting stuck. I would think that if it were the IAC, the rpms would be bouncing up and down. It only seems to get stuck around 1200 rpms when I drive to work and then be fine otherwise.

any codes? sounds like TPS sensor. Try cleaning IAC and see if it helps.

Yup, Carefully remove the IAC and clean it with the carb cleaner.

Did you ever fix this? I am having the same issue. I know mine is not the TPS or IAC as I have replaced these.
